Bradner Flower and Garden Show

Historic Village of Bradner Celebrates
The 80th Bradner Flower and Garden Show

April 11, 12 & 13th, 2008

Admission is STILL only $2

In 1929, Fenwick Fatkin, founder of the Bradner Flower Show, wrote about his daffodils: “Defying weather pulsating hope of better things to come, resplendent in matchless colouring, and perfect in form though tempests do rage and roar, all they ask you to do is ‘come and see’”.

This year we are celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Show and how it all began and how the railway made it possible to bring bulbs from England and Holland to the tiny community of Bradner. Those bulbs were used by Fenwick Fatkin to start the flower show. He encouraged other bulb growers to show their daffodils and to this day, local growers are still encouraged to show the beautiful flowers that they grow on their land.

The Bradner Community Club invites you to come and see the hundreds of varieties of beautiful daffodils that will be on display for you to enjoy. We also invite you to our Grand Opening on Friday, April 11th at 2:00p.m. We are pleased to have the Honourable Steven L. Point, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, officially open the show for us this year.
